Lacock and Stonehenge

  • Departure from Bath
  • 30 minutes in Lacock National Trust village, with guided walk (film location for Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice)
  • Morning Tours: Orientation walk and 90 minutes to explore Salisbury with its shops, cafes and museums and elegant cathedral boasting Britain’s tallest spire. Visit the 13th century chapter house exhibiting the finest of four original 1215 Magna Carta manuscripts.
  • Evening tours: Orientation walk and then time to have dinner in Salisbury at one of the many fine pubs and restaurants.
  • Fully guided drive, passing Old Sarum, the site of the earliest settlement of Salisbury
  • Photo-stop at Woodhenge and Durrington Walls where the builders of Stonehenge are believed to have lived..
  • Hear about exciting archaeological discoveries made by the Stonehenge Riverside Project in recent years.

Please note that this tour involves the option of a guided walk across open grassland. You will need to bring suitable warm, waterproof clothing and shoes as it can get quite chilly at Stonehenge.
